The Master of Business program aims to provide students with sound business management knowledge and skills necessary to meet the current challenges facing professionals working in tourism, hospitality, sport and event management and similar organisations.
This program will assist students to contextualise and relate knowledge to the current challenges facing professionals working in tourism, hospitality, sport and event management and similar organisations. Middle years education examines the curriculum, pedagogy and assessment practices that best meet the unique cognitive, physical, and psychosocial developmental needs of young people in the middle phase of schooling (years 4–9). It also analyses a developmental framework that connects the need for middle years students to develop resilience, build relationships and to experience academic rigour and relevance in learning to the context of a classroom. Middle years education explores different school and community based organisations and makes use of work integrated learning experiences and action research projects. In doing so, it has the capacity to create powerful learning opportunities to develop an understanding of the need for congruence between the middle years learner and a developmentally appropriate curriculum. ?Middle schooling is recognised at local, state and national levels as a difficult time of transition for young people as they move between the primary and high school years. It considers national and international theoretical perspectives and policies around middle schooling and, in particular, examines the historical evidence of ways to promote student engagement, achievement and growth. Trained middle schooling specialists fill the growing demand to meet the unique needs of this age group and are eligible to teach in both primary and lower high school settings.
